- Club Hours, Holidays and Facility
- Club Hours: Monday - Thursday 5:30am - 11:00pm; Friday 5:30am - 10:00pm; Saturday - Sunday 8:00am - 9:00pm
- CLAY will be closed on certain holidays during the year. In addition, CLAY reserves the right to be closed on other holidays at its sole discretion.
- CLAY reserves the right to close one week per year for maintenance purposes at its sole discretion.
- CLAY reserves the right to change its facilities from time to time, to eliminate some of its facilities and services, or to add others.
- CLAY may from time to time reserve the use of its facilities for special events.
- No food or drink, with the exception of water, which must be kept in a closed container, is allowed in the exercise areas.
- Members must be ready to exit CLAY by closing time.
- Membership Card
- Membership cards must be presented upon entry.
- The front vestibule doors will be locked during early morning and late evening hours for Member security, so CLAY recommends Members carry their ID cards at all time.
- If a Member ID card is lost, a $15 replacement fee will be charged to the Member's account.
- Membership cards are not transferable.
- Personal Property
- CLAY shall not be liable for the disappearances, loss or theft of, or damage to the personal property of Members and their Guests, including money and jewelry in or about CLAY, in lockers or for loss or damage to any property.
- Attire
- Proper exercise attire is required for Members and Guests using CLAY. A shirt must be worn when in public areas.
- Street clothes will not be permitted in the Fitness Area.
- Persons wearing soiled workout clothes will not be allowed in the Fireside Lounge and the Back Lounge.
- Sneakers or suitable footwear must be worn at all times.
- Fitness Area
- Members and Guests are welcome and encouraged to arrange an appointment with a trainer before entering the fitness area for the first time.
- As a courtesy, we request proper care of machines after completion of exercise. We request that Members use a towel to wipe down equipment after use.
- As a courtesy, please return all equipment to the proper station upon completion of exercise.
- Please allow other Members and Guests to "work-in."
- Do not tie up multiple machines with multiple sets if others wish to use the same equipment.
- Please limit your cardiovascular workout to thirty-minutes if others are waiting.
- Outside trainers are not allowed. All Personal Training and Instruction is to be given by Club Personal Trainers.
- Personal equipment and belongings are not allowed (i.e. gym bags, athletic equipment, purses, etc.).
- Dumbbells are not to be used on cardiovascular equipment.
- When lifting heavy weights, use a "spotter."
- Do not drop or throw weights.
- Use of chalk is not allowed.
- Exercise areas will close fifteen-minutes prior to Club closing.
- Roof Deck
- Hours: Monday - Thursday 9:00am - 8:00pm; Friday 9:00am - 8:30 pm; Saturday 10:00am - 9:30pm; Sunday 10:00am - 8:00pm. Hours are subject to change.
- Months of Operation will be March through November.
- Smoking, alcoholic beverages and music is strictly prohibited.
- Appropriate dress is required.
- Group Exercise Classes, Workshops, Clinics and Seminars
- Classes will be given as per the printed schedule and will also be available on CLAY's website.
- CLAY reserves the right to change the exercise class schedule at any time. This includes the addition or deletion of classes as well as changes in instructors, class times and length of classes.
- No one will be admitted more than ten minutes after the scheduled class time.
- Please do not enter a studio before the current class is completed.
- We request that you follow the instructor's routine.
- Conversation must be kept to a minimum.
- Hand weights are not permitted during cardio sections of classes.
- Feet must be covered during appropriate classes.
- Reserving places is not permitted.
- No cell phones are allowed in studios and pages must be on silent mode.
- Members may not use stereo equipment.
- We request that Members do not wear perfume or cologne during group activities.
- No food or drink, with the exception of water, which must be kept in a closed container, is allowed in the studios.
- CLAY reserves the right to change studio policies whenever necessary.
- Locker Rooms and Laundry Service
- Towel service available.
- Lockers are for daily use only.
- Kit Locker rental and Laundry Service is available on a monthly basis.
- Each Member who uses the Laundry Service acknowledge that articles are being laundered at each Member's sole risk; that those articles will be delivered by CLAY to each Member's locker and placed therein; and that CLAY shall have no liability to any loss or damage to articles. Each member agrees to permit CLAY and its agents to enter their locker and deliver the workout clothes solely as a service and convenience to each Member.
- CLAY has the right to enter the locker, without notice, to inspect the contents of the locker at any time, for any purpose, including but not limited to, the removal of towels or other CLAY property.
- Guest Policy
- All Guests must be accompanied by a member.
- Each Guest is permitted in CLAY only once per two months, no more six times in a calendar year.
- There is a $35.00 Guest Fee.
- All Guests must be 18-years of age or older and have proper identification.
- Guests 16 or 17 years of age may use CLAY only if they have purchased a private training session and are training under the direct supervision of a CLAY trainer.
- All Guests must register with reception upon entering CLAY.
- Cell Phones
- Cellular phone use is strictly prohibited in any public area. Cellular phones may be used in the Back Lounge only.
- Cameras
- Cameras and the taking of photographs are prohibited in all areas of CLAY without prior written consent from CLAY management.
- Membership Interruptions / Freezes
- All PIF annual, monthly annual, monthly flexible are allowed a one month
interruption with no fees involved and for any reason. The member must
provide a 30-day written notice in order to activate this interruption and the time
must be taken in blocks of 30 days from the 1st to the 31st.
Paid-In-Full Exception:
- Paid in full members may use the initial one month of
complimentary freeze time in blocks of 7-days (4 weeks) or in
any block of 30 days.
- Interruption privileges must be used within one-year and will not carry over
into future membership agreements.
- Membership Interruptions cannot be retroactive.
- Membership Interruptions may be extended up to two months, beyond the
allotted one, with a membership dues maintenance fee. This fee would begin
with the member’s request to extend their interruption beyond the 30-days.
This fee will be deducted as an EFT in the amount of 30% of the member’s
current membership dues. This maintenance fee will insure that the member
remains a member “on leave” and is not considered “cancelled” which would
require the member to pay the club’s Reinstatement Fee plus new member
dues to come back to the club.
- Membership Interruptions will not be granted to members who are not current on all club dues and charges
- The member will not be able to access the club, except for membership
administration, during their Membership Interruption.
- Members are subject to any club membership dues increases that occur during
their leave of absence.
- Monthly members will have their billing suspended for the time requested
- Paid in full members will have their membership expiration date adjusted to compensate for the time requested
- In the event that a member needs to interrupt his or her membership temporarily
due to injury or illness, up to 6 months of complimentary time per membership
year may be requested upon presentation of a signed note from a Physician.
Medical freeze time cannot be retroactive and must be taken at the time of
illness or injury.
- Medical Leave of Absence Policy
- A Medical Leave of Absence may be taken for VALID MEDICAL reasons.
- A Medical Leave of Absence Form MUST be completed by your physician and be returned to us AT TIME of injury/illness. Forms are available at Service Desk.
- A Medical Leave of Absence is for a minimum time of one (1) month and a maximum of three (3) months. However, for extended disability/illness, A NEW Medical Leave of Absence Form must be submitted every three (3) months or membership will automatically be reinstated.
- During a Medical Leave of Absence, monthly billing will continue as scheduled according to the terms of your Membership Agreement. Time owed will be added after your initial term agreement has been met and your account status is current. For those Members who are not on an annual contract and are billed monthly, a $20 monthly maintenance charge will be applied to your account, during your Medical Leave of Absence.
- A Return from Medical Leave of Absence Form must be completed by your physician and submitted to CLAY in order to re-activate your Membership before you are able to use the Club for any reason. Furthermore, we recommend that you meet with the Fitness Director before resuming an exercise program so that the Fitness Director can advise accordingly.
- A Medical Leave of Absence may not be reinstated and is not retroactive.
- Members who are on a Medical Leave of Absence may not use the Club as a Guest.
- Type of Membership
- An individual Membership is a Membership for one person. An Add-On Membership is for the Spouse or Domestic Partner of an existing Member paying Individual Dues rates of CLAY. Upon request, documentation of marital or domestic partnership status.
- Billing
- Monthly dues and house charges are debited from members' accounts through an Electronic Funds Transfer system on a monthly basis and reflect that months dues and the prior months house charges.
- All other miscellaneous fees must be paid upon entrance to CLAY.
- We reserve the right to automatically refer accounts that are delinquent to our attorneys for collection.
- Notices
- Remember to inform CLAY's Accounting Office of any address changes. Any notice shall be considered delivered when mailed to the address as it appears on your Membership Agreement or as subsequently changed by written notice to CLAY. Any notice required by CLAY shall be considered duly given only when received by the Accounting Office of CLAY.
- Members are not permitted to advertise or post notices inside or about CLAY.
- Termination
- Any Member who is loud, offensive, uses profanity, is bothersome to other Members/Employees or behaves otherwise in an unbecoming manner or who is cited for infractions of CLAY Bylaws may be suspended or terminated from CLAY.
- Management reserves the right to change, add, delete or amend any regulation herein.
- Cancellation
- A Membership Cancellation will be honored for the following reasons:
- The membership term has expired without a renewal of the agreement
- A 30-day, written notification is given to the club to end a flexible monthly membership or a regular monthly membership that is at the
end of its term
- The club cancels a membership due to lack of payment or misconduct in the club
- A written letter, along with official documentation, proves that a member, in an annual membership, is relocating his or her residence
within the radius set forth by the laws of the state or has a chronic medical condition
- A breach of membership contract or lack of member payment may be grounds for immediate membership termination by the club.
- Cancellation requests are processed according to when the request is received:
- Cancellation requests received no later than the 10th of the month may be considered a cancellation at the end of the current month. EXAMPLE: Received July 9th will be cancelled July 31st

Cancellations requests after the 10th of the month are considered cancellations at the end of the following month. EXAMPLE: Received July 15th will be cancelled August 31st.
- A paid in full membership or monthly annual membership that is cancelled prior to its term will be refunded membership dues for the remaining time left on their membership less a 10% processing fee. Early cancellation fees can be accepted as a separate payment or included in the final monthly payment.
- Enrollment Fees do not apply to any cancellation refunds unless under contract as a “money back guarantee” or with the approval and signature of upper management.
- A membership may be transferred by a member who is cancelling their membership to a friend or family member. The new member may take over the existing dues with the purchase of a $225 club card.
- Members who are within the 30-day grace period beyond their expiration date are considered “suspended” during which time they are still eligible for renewal rates. Beyond 30 days, the membership should be moved to “cancelled” and considered a Former Member.
All membership interruption and cancellation requests must be made on a transaction/change form available at the club.
- Terms and Conditions
- CLAY's Members agree to abide by all Bylaws now in effect or become effective at a future date.
- There will be NO smoking in CLAY and on Roof Deck.
- Members must be eighteen years of age or older and have proper identification.
- Any abuse of equipment will not be tolerated.
- Any damage to CLAY's property by the Member, Member's Guest or dependent shall be paid for by the Member.
- Consumption of alcoholic beverages and smoking are strictly prohibited in and around CLAY.
- CLAY represents that it will not discriminate against any person because of sex, race, age, color, national origin, or ancestry in considering application for membership in CLAY.
- The Bylaws herein are not inclusive. Signs posted in CLAY will be considered additional Bylaws.
- Appointment Cancellation
- A 24 hour notice is required for cancellation of private training, nutrition, and spa appointments.
